Current favorite makeup products

I've always been into makeup ever since I was a preteen (aka awkward phase). I've tried a lot of different brands since then from drugstore to high-end. So needless to say I've gone through a lot of good products and bad (IMO)!! All that to lead up to this list; my current favorite makeup products. Enjoy!

Foundation+Concealer

Foundation+Concealer

Alright, so those of you who know me know I love Tarte products. I would have to say its one of my favorite brands. I have been using the Tarte amazonian clay foundation for at least four years until they introduced their newest product, the Tarte clay stick foundation. Its a medium to full coverage foundation and it slides on flawlessly. Its super lightweight and easy to blend with a foundation brush. They also have a variety of shades including one that matches my skin perfectly (which is hard to find) . One thing super important to me as well is makeup that doesn't take a ton of time to put on. I'm forever running late and so the fact that I can split my time in half getting ready by using the clay stick is everything. I can get pretty oily so this foundation is really nice to give me a semi-matte finish without over drying. I do believe even if you have dry skin this would still work nicely as long as you use the right primer or moisturizer.

Not gonna lie, I purchased the notorious Tarte shape tape concealer because I've always heard about it from a handful of beauty gurus and youtubers. It totally owns up to the hype! It gives me the perfect long lasting coverage I need. I use it to conceal my blemishes and under eyes but I know people will also use it to contour. Something to note is that both products from Tarte are vegan and cruelty-free which is always a plus in my book!

Brows

Brows

Girlll, we both know that if you are too heavy handed with your brows you can look a little crazy. Thats why I love Gimme Brow by Benefit cosmetics. Its so easy to use and it takes no time at all to have a natural full looking brow. I have somewhat full brows already but I love that it just sculpts them even more so while not going overboard. If I do have a bit more time to spare I do love the Anastasia DipBrow as well. I will say if you haven't dabbled with drawing on your own brows I probably would recommend the Gimme Brow or at least watch a youtube video before you start.

Cheeks+Highlighter+Bronzer

Cheeks+Highlighter+Bronzer

I love this little trio by Too Faced. It contains a bronzer, blush, and a highlighter and yes it smells like peaches! I especially love the highlighter because it has a bit of a tint to it so you could use it as a highlighter+blush combo. It's compact and has a mirror inside so perfect if you're traveling or want to keep it in your purse! *Side note: I was going to post a picture of the inside but it looks pretty loved on since I do use it everyday so if you're curious about the colors click here*

Lips

Lips

If I'm not wearing one then I'm wearing the other. These are my main lip products that I use. The Anastasia liquid lipstick is true to the color you actually see which I love because I feel like sometimes when buying new lip products they tend to look a bit different on. It also lasts a good majority of my day! I really love the shade Ashton (which is pictured above). My other favorite is the Tarteist lip paint in the color birthday suit. Its great if you are looking for that natural everyday color with a little pop. Both are full coverage and matte which is typically what I go for in lipsticks. To prevent my lips from drying out I will typically apply a lip balm prior to putting on anything matte.

Eyes

Eyes

First off, I would like to apologize for the mess that is my Modern Renaissance palette, you can tell it gets a lot of attention I just really love the pigmentation you get with this palette and the colors are practical but you also have some fun pops of color as well. The colors blend smoothly and work really well together. It comes with a dual-sided eyeshadow brush that is actually really nice. This palette is pure quality and I highly recommend it! Definitely a staple in my makeup routine.

Lately I haven't been doing too much of a winged liner but when I do I love using the Makeup Forever Ink Liner. It goes on matte (surprise, surprise) and the pointed felt tip is perfect for accuracy. I also love how opaque is goes on as well. I've used some liners in the past where I would have to go over twice to achieve that bold liner. Another plus is that it doesn't flake throughout the day and it ACTUALLY LAST. So if you're a cat eye kinda gal you need this in  your beauty regimen.

Last but not least is the Sephora Lash Craft. I was honestly surprised how much I liked this mascara. It doesn't clump together the more I apply but just keeps lengthening. I feel like I've never found my go-to mascara but I must admit this might be it. I haven't experienced any running either yet so thats a huge plus.
